“People know about their medals, their video parts, but I felt like more people needed to hear their stories and it would be a positive thing. As a TGR athlete, father and husband, Jones' life is full of action, and luckily he shares it all through his photos on Instagram are so many snowboarders I know and look up to who do amazing things and make a difference towards protecting the environment,” Roy says. Now Jones splits his time between riding, his family, his snowboard company, Jones Snowboards, his environment-focused organization, Protect Our Winters, and Teton Gravity Research, an award-winning film production company co-owned by his two brothers, Todd and Steve Jones. He went on to compete in downhill races, but when he failed to qualify for the 1998 Winter Olympics, he switched he attention to something he is now widely recognized for: freeriding. Jeremy Jones grew up in Cape Cod, Mass., and started his snowboarding career in 1983 at the age of nine.
